It started like this...

Eating with fork and pliers.

We are leaving and Rex see's Mt Rainier and says, "the mountian is up! it has a good quiet time."  In the PNW we say "the mountain is out," thanks to cloud cover we don't get to see our beautiful mountains often.  I like Rex's take on things.

Driving down Mike was trying to keep them distracted so he stared a game called I love____ and you say what you like about a person.  So we played I love mommy, I love Chloe, we went to play I love Daddy but Rex was insistent on playing I love Kyler instead.

 Chloe- I want some fruit snacks.

Rex- No! You don't need fruit snacks, I do.

 Car break

 Chloe drew a smiley face and our family, Rex drew a sea monster truck, shark monster truck, and a bus monster truck.

Hanging out at the cabin consisted of:

 Sandy slide is a game where you pile sand on the slide and then slide down on the sand.  It was epic, just ask Rex

 "Oh my goodness you're both upside dooooown." Rex piped up.

Rex met a friend at the park and said, "Hi, I Rex, what's your name?"
"Max." Max replies.
"Hi Max, I like rocks."

Rex and Okaer were playing with the Jenga blocks.  Rex passes Oaker one with his foot, Oaker replies "you are one weird little dude."

Beka was pouring herself a diet coke.  Chloe comes up and asks "Is that rootbeard?" I told her "it's spicy drink and you wouldn't like it."  She looked incredulous. I prompted her to smell it. She did and exclaimed, "ew, that smells like watermelon...dipped in salsa!"

Chloe was watching an old VHS at the cabin, and it was not in focus.  Mike was trying to get the tracking to work, Chloe fed up with him interfering and not being able to watch her story she told him, "Stop it Daddy, I like the sparkles.  They're beautiful."

So, Rex believes that I cannot work a microwave. Every time I heat something up he reminds me to not burn it, or make it black, or put the metal spoon in.  I am not the one that burnt his sandwich...he is.  Why am I getting lectured every time he wants something warm?

July 7, 2013 Fourth of July Holly visit cannon beach

We saw this cute deer and fawn on our way to the zoo.

I thought this picture was so funny of Chloe pulling a Man from Snowy River.

 We played at the splash pad and it was cold.  I didn't bring a towel so Rex ended up in my jacket.
