Vesuvius and Pompeii

 Mt. Vesuvius  So when you leave Germany and the snow to go to Italy and find...SNOW. 

And huge pine cones.

Our second time to Mt. Vesuvius was much warmer.

 Walking to Pompeii we ran into the train and the guy who sits in the booth and puts down the gates.  A persons full time job is to wait by this crossing and put down the gate when it beeps.  He gave Ike mandarin oranges on our second time because he was so jazzed about the trains and they bonded.

 Fountain can you believe is was buried under ash and stuff for so long?

 Driving through Naples was adventurous.  We found the Jacko pub...a pub on wheels with a huge picture of Michael Jackson.  Is this heaven?
