October 18, 2015 Butchart gardens

Rex loves Allie and gets in her face all the time.

Turner is 6!

Chloe is SO FUNNY!

Rex drew this picture and said "I sees 3 kittens."

That smile.  This girl is a little LOVE!

Love

Belfair Wetlands.

Forts with Dad

What do you do when it is raining?  Go outside.

Or, watch your crazy sister outside.

Ike loved this little car.

The Butchart gardens.  I have wanted to go ever since we have moved to Washington.  I was Chloe's age the last time I went.

 We will make Ike look.

Chloe loved taking pictures of the plants and the people she loves.

 Another Chloe picture.

 Puffy cheeks, puffy plant.

Rex being a T like the tree.

 Chloe LOVED the rose garden.

The coolest fountain, and the coolest ladies.

 Another amazing fountain.

Chloe and Rex were pretending to be bunnies the entire time we were walking through the gardens.

 Totem poles.

 Rex's favorite statue.

Whimsical Trees.

Amazing archways.

While playing on this rock Rex declared, "This is like Mount Rainier for mice!"

Did I mention we went to a garden in OCTOBER and this is what it looked like?

 Ike's favorite fountain.

Sun rays.

 The sunken garden.

 Gourds.

 Carousel.
Chloe, of course, chose to ride the rose horse.

Willow trees.

 Lunch.

"Restaurants are the best because you don't have to make food.  They just serve it...Like servants." -Rex

Rex was curious about the witches brew fountain.  The owner helped resolve his concerns of how it worked.

 The butterfly house.

 With more than butterflies.

 Poison dart frogs.

There were lots of different turtles.

It was pretty, and hot, and pretty hot.

We walked to the beach.  Chloe the daredevil kept walking out on this long and falling up to her neck in the ocean.

But she got out really far before slipping happened.

Rex the daredevil animal killer found Jellyfish.

He caught and killed one.  Boo.  Crazy.

The next morning it was overcast but still beautiful.

 Beacon Hill park.

 Family walk.

 Fun playground.

Tuckered out on the ride home.

On our long journey home Rex throws out the plan "When I get older I'm going to marry Reagan, and make her work, because I don't want to have a job."

Chloe indigently responds "No Rex!  You need to be a gentleman.  If you get poor and only have one donkey you have to let Reagan ride it; and be a gentleman!"

Odd, both of them.

 We ferried home.

Beauty!

It was an amazing trip.
