July 28, 2018 Monkey Mountain

July 2018 Hospital

Ike was so sick. This is a peak into what 9 days in a hospital with a 3 year old looks like. He had fluid in his lungs and low oxygen in his blood.

He was a trooper and played well in his bed.

View from Ike's room.

He liked to hook himself up.

Writing. This is when the IV got put in his hand and pulled out that night on accident moving around.

Chloe made him a treat campfire.

When our first roommate got released we had the kids over and had a family dinner in the hospital.

Mike started calling his toe with the oxygen sensor his laser toe.

The beginning of getting cabin fever.

At this point our roommate was a 4 month old baby and his mom.  I felt bad for them.

Ike started taking pictures.

He hated his breathing treatments but came to terms with it by the end.

He had to sit up at the end to keep his oxygen up and try to get his body moving to get all the gunk out of his lungs.

When Ike was getting better he walked into a playroom they had a playroom.  Ike walked in and exclaimed "this has been here the whole time?!?"
9 days in the hospital lots of healing and finally a healthy boy left.

Many friends and family send love prayers and gifts.  We are so thankful for all the help as we were on vacation and got stuck in Garmisch many days past when we thought we would be there.  The Relief society president down there opened her home to Lindsey and I while Mike stayed at the hospital.  Marj and Time took Chex home the last few days when we couldn't find a hotel room anymore.  Prayers were offered and love and support was sent.  We are thankful for our family and friends and all the love and support sent.  It helped immensely.
Getting ready to leave.

Later Hospital.  We are thankful you were there to help us be we are so glad to not be present anymore.
