Rex the cat.  I am driving and I hear a repeated meow.  I look back to tease Chloe the cat, but it ended up being Rex.

 We cut Chloe's hair.
I was talking on the phone to my friend Mike Merrell and I said "oh Hi mike!"  Rex starts screaming and following me saying "da-da da-da" He thought I was talking to Mike.  Sad, but cute.

We replaced her laces with elastic.

This week was my first time at Activity Days in our new ward.  Rex made a friend.

 Chloe made a friend.

Mike came home for the weekend.  Lets just say we are all pleased.  These three have been hanging out nonstop.  Chloe told me she didn't want her pants on her feet so her dad put them on her head.  Then they played wii.   It is so cute to see the kids take turns and share.

Mike took the kids to the zoo while I had a Show Off day with Dri.

They are leaving the zoo and it is up hill.  Mike asked "Chloe are you tired and want to ride in the stroller?"  Chloe replies, "No I'm hungry. But, I want to ride the carousel."  So they rode the Carousel.

Then he fed them pizza and slurpee for dinner! Dad of the year =).

Here is a picture of Dri's shelved finished.  They turned out so well!

Dad made the kids oatmeal this morning and Chloe pipes up and says,  "Daddy, Mommy makes oatmeal better than you.  She hides all the milk."

Also Chloe has been asking to watch Yatta. (Viewer discretion advised...not kidding)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yu_FXlv2U4 and Mike lets her.  Yikes

August 21, 2011

We have been reading the Ginger Bread Man.  Chloe asked "can we make one of those guys?"  So we did, but rice crispies are easier.  I thought it was kind of interesting face she pulled and her chocolate placement was interesting too, so it was a match.

Rex was excited about making them too.

Enjoying the fruits of our labor.

That mouth can fit a lot of crispies.  This week Rex was feeding himself and as he was putting the spoon in his mouth he was making airplane noises.

Dad (aka Mike) got the kids these shirts while he was out of town.  He is out of town again and we are missing him soooo much.

Playin'

We went to visit Dri and finish the shelves.  As a bonus we went swimming.  Insane fun!  This is the closest Rex got to the water.

Doing the squares for the shelves.

Kitchen shelf completed.
Lots of work and lots of fun.
Lots of pain for Chloe she turned on Dri's fireplace and leaned against it.  HUGE burn =(.  Then later that day while eating she fell off her chair and it cut the inside of her mouth and bled everywhere.  Not awesome.

This look pretty much sums up Rex's behavior in church...Sometimes I will be good and sometimes I won't.  Watch me. Plus, I know Da-da isn't here to double team me. HAha-hahaha-ha! (nursery in three weeks)

We had a fun Fayetteville reunion tonight.  The Bassett and Pearson family in the house!

August 14, 2011

Chloe took Rex's ball away from him.  Mike sent Chloe to time out.  He went to go get her and inqured, "Chloe why did you take Rex's ball?"
Chloe replied "Robin Hood took the gold from the king"
Mike explained that Rex was like the turtle the king stole the gold from, and she needs to protect him.

What movie do you think Chloe has been watching?

This week we have made some new friends.  We went to the zoo and played in our backyard.  We turned on the sprinklers and that is where the real fun has begun.

We had to take Dad to the airport =(.  But then we went up to the Mercer island library and had a lot of fun with aunt Dri.  There was a special story time and music session in the new outdoor literacy garden.  Chloe participated, with much persuasion on her part, with the finger symbols.  She played right when she was supposed to, it was amazing.

August 7, 2011

"You can't have my green moothie (smoothie), they're only for kids"
Lindsey has enlightened us to putting spinach in smoothies; there is no taste difference it only makes it green.  Chloe has not been willing to share.

I just love the Thomas the train with the plaid shorts.

The have been so affectionate/bugging each other lately.

Rex was so cute with his ball and I was going to take his pic.  Chloe hopped in and I stated, "But, you're naked."
She retorted "I'm not naked, I don't have a bum out."
I have deiced when she is 16 and doesn't appreciated her "comfortable with her body phase"  that is what I will tell her.

We went to Dri's this weekend and built shelves.  One in her kitchen...

And a plethora in her room.  While we built the shelves Mike took the kids to see the Blue Angels.  The military airplane stunt team.  AMAZING. Chloe comes home and runs upstairs to us and says "You guys are party poopers because you didn't come watch the blue angels."

Thanks to Mikes awesome Christmas present we finally cached it in and went rock climbing.

Dri had the kids.  We get a text from Dri asking if there were any more diapers.  There were they were just in the car.  That we drove.  I was   about 30 feet in the air laughing, I couldn't do anything about it.

Our instructors, one lying down on the job.

Look at those muscles.

And that reach.
We both had fun thanks Dri.

We get home and put a diaper on Chloe and  she says "Dri let me watch my movie again, wasn't that so nice of her.  I love her." Good week, we worked hard and played hard.
