Happy Birthday Jill (times two)

Last Sunday, we had a birthday party for Jill, Chloe and Rex were excited to help with the cake

And Mike cut it.

And Rex just kept repeating "I love mommy, I give her hugs and kisses.  I love mommy..."

On Monday we had a surprise party for Jill

 The party was unicorn themed

When Mike showed Chloe the pinata, Chloe stated, "I was expecting something different."  

She then proceeded to tell people at the party, "my dad made this unicorn, he did the best he could."

Jill walked to Vangie's house to pick up the kids, on the way home she documented why it takes forever to walk anywhere with the kids.

Jill made a lot of cookies on Sunday. Chloe kept asking if she could try one.  She said, "I would like one of those cookies right now.  I just want to test them and tell you if their good or not."

Rex hates haircut hair falling on him so Jill got this "silly birds" cape, now he loves having his hair cut.  Thanks Aunt Dee

Rex and Chloe decided Mike as a dragon and needed to be slayed.  They then celebrated his death.

Saturday was beautiful so we went to the park for some bike riding and climbing

Mike gave the missionaries a ride to church on Sunday, but he had to wait for them to get rid of some guy who knocked their door.  He laughed for a good 5 minutes while the elders tried to get rid of him.

 Mike was sick so the kids were taking care of him by bringing him drawings and food.

We went on a mommy Chloe date and chloe got mint icecream.  She is my daughter.

 In Chloe's prayer she expressed, "please bless my brother and all his funniness and weirdness."

At breakfast chloe and rex were commenting on how it has letters from each of their names.  We have decided that Chloe and Rex's nick name is CH-EX.

Chloe gave the scripture and she practiced it and performed very consistently.

In primary they were talking about who is a good example.  Chloe pipes up, " I am a good example for my mom because she still opens stuff with her teeth."

January 12, 2014 Sentimental

 "What is that? Cucumber?" Rex asked hopefully.

Mike replied, "No, it's chocolate with carmel inside.  Do you want some?" 

"Awww I hate that" Rex complained.

 Chloe is super sentimental. We took a picture of her Christmas reindeer craft.  She wants to document everything.  She gave Rex one of her toys and instructed, "Rex you can keep this and when I go to college you can remember me.  She also borrowed my phone so she could take pictures of her clothes so she can remember them when she grows out of them.

 Rex is very good at poking people with his elbows.  In fact, I frequently comment on his poky elbows.  He hurt his elbow and complained, "Ow, I hurt my poky elbow, my poky elbow hurts!"

January 5, 2014 New Year and Schuyler's 1st birthday

You are Harassing me! Chloe yelled at Mike and I while we were harassing her. 

Stop distracting me! Rex snapped at Mike while Rex was pretend straightening his hair, and Mike was bugging him.

Chloe came into our room early this week and woke mike by saying daddy you're going to be late to work. It was earlier than mike normally wakes up.  Chloe then proceeded to point out each passing moment.  Dad it's 6:13....Daddy it's 6:15....Dadddy....

And Schuyler's birthday ended in cake.  I am so glad she is part of our family.  When ever we prayed on her birthday Chloe begged to pray.  Then in her prayers she asked Heavenly father to wish Schuyler a happy birthday.
