February 27, 2016 Welcome to Germany

 Jet lag is the worst.

The first night we put the kids down at like 9 pm.  I was rejoicing thinking we are going to rock this jet lag thing and get the kids on a schedule.

At midnight we found Chloe and Rex playing pokemon in the bathroom, and at other odd time is other odd places in odd attire.  Playing, reading, and in general, shenanigans.

We have eaten a lot of food.  I think I have already gained my freshman 15.

 Toast and fruit for breakfast.

 The clock tower in Laundstuhl.

 Ice cream.

We get ice-cream almost every day.

We put him in shower prison while cleaning up.

He just kept enjoying the chocolate.

 Hike to the Nanburg castle.

 It overlooks the city.

They would just carve out the mountain and plunk a castle down.

Lunch.  It was so yummy.  We had traditional German food.

 I am loving Germany.

Happy 8th birthday Chloe.  She is pretty amazing, thoughtful, kind, loving, forgiving, calculated, vivacious, character that keeps us all on out toes.  I love her more every day and I am super thankful she is part of our family.

I have absolutely loved being with the young women and other leaders.  They are amazing.  I feel like they have shared their talents and challenges with me.  I just want all of them to succeed and make the best possible versions of themselves that they can.  Thanks sunset ward young women.

 Miller Girls.

We have had a lot of goodbyes.  I hope people send me their pictures because I was terrible and didn't have my phone all the time.  The friends have made in Washington have been wonderful life-long friends.  I hope our paths cross again and we are able to stay in touch.  We have been sustained and supported in the hardest part of our lives by everyone.  We are so thankful for the love support and friendship of those who have become our family.

 Sisters.

We miss Washington and all our friends and family already.

We are thankful for all the cookies, well wishes, and prayers on our behalf.
