July 31, 2011

Chloe has been singing this gem of a song Dad taught her:
Seems the further from town I go the more I hate this place.  He's got leather and big tattoos scars all over his face.  And I wonder if he ever has cried because his kitten got ran over and died.  Oh, he's got his arm around every mans dream crumbs in his beard from the sea food special.  Oh, can you see my world is falling apart baby please leave the biker, leave the biker, break his heart.

Rex has been singing his favorite song too.

Seattle Aquarium

The touch pond.  The kids LOVED it.  The only problem was after Rex touched all the animals he then sucked the saltwater off his hands.

 Mesmerized by the fish.

How could you not with all the cool colors and fluid fish.

 Jelly fish.

 Jelly fish.

Jelly fish.

 Rex getting the jelly fish.

 Chloe's favorite part.

Chloe usually calls for whoever isn't there when she is in trouble.  The problem was Mike and I were both home but I was in the other room.  So it started out with Chloe yelling, "I miss my mommy,"  Then when she realized I was no help and started wailing, "I miss aunt Dri!"

It was Jamie's birthday this week!

I got the best pic of Kade. The frosting mustache is the icing on the cake.

Lindsey helped finish all the rugs while she was here.  This is the rug Mike and I sewed together by hand!  It is very soft. Lindsey showed Rex how to swim in it.  Rex dogie piled on Lindsey while she was demonstrating.  Later he swam on his own in the rug's soft pile.

This is a cute video of Dad and the kids playing on the hammock.

Until it broke, then the party moved to the grass.

This week we made yogurt pop-sickles.

They were a big hit.

July 24, 2011 Lindsey Visit

Lindsey took our family pic in front of the new wall.  The tent is in there too.

 Lindsey getting fresh in Seattle

Rex LOVED this otter.  He kept snuggling and then running away and laughing.

 Lindsey on the cruise.

The rescue boat doing a drill pumping water from the sound.

 Rex enjoying the cruise.

Chloe loves her pic on the pig.  It was a request.

 Slash demand.

This guy was so crazy coordinated.  He has percussion on his shoes and hula hoop.  He has his guitar and harmonica.  CRAZY.

Rex waiting for Chloe to use the Loo.

At least he was happy about it.

Pike Place.
(I crocheted Chloe that little bolero.)

 Museum of Flight.

Everyone had fun.

 Rex's best outfit this week.

Rex 1st time on the Space Needle.

 Lindsey in Seattle.

 Lindsey displaying her ring finger.

Chloe in the sculpture out side the EMP

Chloe and Rex mesmerized by the movie in the EMP.

Lindsey in front of Trimpin's guitar sculpture.

My 1/2 birthday cake for my 1/2 birthday.

Lindsey

Last week Chloe said Poka-dot, not poka-bot and not po-ta-bot.  She is getting so big.

 The beach

Rex didn't want to enjoy the water, only the rocks on the beach.
Fun week that ended up with Dri, Mike and I enjoying Harry Potter part 2.

Lindsey has come to VISIT!

 The awesome park

Lindsey helping (Satan's plan) Chloe take a good pic.  Chloe would not look at me.

We cut Chloe's hair last Sunday

 Lindsey and Chloe

Lindsey at the Library stealing Mother Gooses hat.

Rex has started saying a ton of words.   He has been able to talk forever but only talks when he wants to.  He has been saying Mom, Dada, Nana, gra-ma, gra-pa, up, down, all done, ball, water, no, yes and has been signing a ton.

Yesterday Rex started putting his head and his feet on the floor and raising his arms, then Chloe came and joined.  They were just laughing together.

We finally finished the wall.  Here is the back before we put the white board on.

After we put the whiteboard on.  Look at Chloe's creepy smiley faces.  She is getting pretty good.

Chloe was drawing all of these eyes while showing Mike.  Mike pointed out that the smiley face had no smile; she quickly put a little line and said there and went back to adding eyes.

Here is the awesome Flor rug we put together and the wall that divides the room.

Here you can see three of the FIVE raccoons in our back yard.  YIKES! I want a hat.
