April 28, 2013 Beat box/ Sod

At the mall Chloe with little provocation of mall music started to...

Then at home

Then the Rex got mildly involved

Chloe made her own oatmeal.  I think this was 4 packets of oat meal.

Bam! Gone. She is growing.

Why do captains put there arms like this?
-Chloe

Rex man handling the chickens.  They are all terrified of him.  This is chocolate who is particularly good at running to the coop and flying in the tiny door and hiding in the corner to escape Rex.

While trying to get our yard done we have enjoyed our neighboor's yard.

 The cement boarder

 Prep for sod

Finished

Finished sod.

Chloe and Rex played in the sprinklers as we have been keeping the lawn wet.

Chloe has coined a new accurately, descriptive word: Yester-night I took a bath but didn't get my hair wet.

The new sod in action

Mike made another time lapse of us installing the sod.  It's fun to keep and eye on where Rex and the chickens are.

April 21, 2013 Timber

 Swing flying

On Sunday Whitney asked Chloe what she wanted for Family Night treat.  Chloe thought and said, "Ummm, cake and icecream, it will be someone's birthday.  Whitney inquired, "who's birthday?"  Chloe finished, "I don't know, someone's."  Well it ended up being Elder E's birthday and we had them over Monday too, so that worked out well.

Chloe and Rex were playing the other day and I hear Chloe cry out, "REX you're being greedy.  The scriptures say 'Behold, give that back and never be greedy!"
Rex retorts "No, I am ruining it because I'm a bad guy!"

TIMBER

Chloe's pictures are starting to get more detailed.  I love how the hands have individual fingers now.  She is growing up.

Schuyler's headstone was placed this week.

April 14, 2013 Yard, Apple tree

This week Rex was talking to me and said, "I'm telling you, you need to get dressed Mommy!"  He had places to go and people to see, and I am clearly the conduit to those avenues.

Rex has only been closing one eye while praying; it's funny as he is peeking around while praying.  Here is Chloe with only one eye because Rex wouldn't do it on command so I could have a picture.
This week we were driving in the car and Chloe has her toy baby.  I hear her say, "Oh good, you only have five toes."

Chloe painted a picture and declared "Mom, I art-ed for you!"
 Tangram day at preschool

We made cookies at preschool and discussed fractions. The kids were so helpful. They are getting so big.

The chicken coop mostly finished

Here is the dead and overgrown things

Here is the yard before we planted.  We have been weeding and ripping up all the old dead/overgrown plants.

Here is the after with the finished hedge.  We have a ton to do, but we are well on our way.

 Playing in the yard.

Rex saw a light house and brought up The Spit (because there is a light house there.)
This is Chloe's lego structure.  I thought it was impressive, I liked the door.  She told me the top things were guns with flowers on top.

In church Chloe drew this and explained, "this person is hungry and has no food in their house, so they are climbing the tree to get the apples.  See? There are three." It was a pretty awesome picture.  I like the back story.

April 4, 2013 Marj Visit, Sequim, Museum of Flight

We went up to the Dungeness spit in Sequim.

Here you can see the narrow strip of land that consists of the spit.  It goes out to a light house.  We didn't make it very far.

Chloe would play a game that the water would come up and she would run, or not and just get soaked.

Rex has the ocean but decides this puddle is the place for him.  He filled the puddle with rocks by the end of our time.

Mike was planning on taking a picture of this sign on our way.  He got it.

 Hanging out with the chicks.

Get you Aunt Marj

Swimming

It was crazy busy but fun.

These are all the roots from mostly the Bamboo the Elders, Marj, Mike and I pulled out this week.

 Making our playground.

Chloe was explaining to Mike, we ate these things that were like a chicken nugget and a french fry.
(They were the flat tater tots.)

 Museum of Flight

Rex loved the shark plane.  Chloe said she was scared...Fake scared.

Rex looks like his neck is broken.

Hanging out in the car while everyone else was at the Ballard Locks.

This is where we had lunch afterward.

Chloe told me Schuyler has new parents.  I asked, who?  She replied, Papa and Great-Grandma.  (Two recent family members that passed away.)  I just enjoy how Chloe processes things and how she still thinks about Schuyler.
Rex has been including Schuyler frequently in his prayers. I love how we can all handle our Schuyler in our own way and keep her a part of our family.
