January 29, 2012 Library visits

This is our new wheel barrow that we got to help in the processes of getting rid of our favorite tree.  At least the kids like the new addition to our tools.

I find if impressive how much he can stick in his trap.  

It is a little long so you can just enjoy the first part and you will get the idea.

We were driving in the car and Chloe pipes up.  "Mom you look old.  Girls look old and boys look young because they have these things that carry blood throughout their body.(She was pointing to veins in her hand)."  

Not sure where she got that tidbit.




Mike's Grandma Johnson passed away today.  
Our love is going to her and all the family.

January 22, 2012 Snow/Ice week

We have had quite a week.  Mike went to work Tuesday and that was it. We have been hunkered home and loving it.

Rex was begging for popcorn.  He signed it and said it over and over until he got some.  I got to hand it to him, he is adamant.

 Mike and Chloe were getting ready to play in the snow.  Rex didn't want to go...until he realized he was going to be left behind.  This was the compromise.

Worst birthday present ever!

 Our huge cherry tree was taken down like a banna in this ice storm. The insult to injury is how hard it is to cut up and move this gigantic heavy tree when we want it back and alive.

 Sad.

 We went to dri's this week for my birthday and had an orange celebration. We had the best meat loaf ever and decorated cupcakes with orange items.

January 16, 2012 Dimond visit

 Preschool #10 heart day.  The girls were heart super heroes and found all ten hearts and did the actions to save them.

Rex was taking a bath.  Mike put soap in his hand.  Rex put the soap in his mouth instead of washing himself.  He went to express how yucky it was and a bubble came out.  He was torn between being bubble mesmerized and complaining about the sick soap.

I woke Chloe up to use the bathroom.  I put her back in bed and gave her a kiss and said,"I love you." Chloe commented back "  That's because I'm your kid."  I said "yeah."  Chloe then added, "Mom, I was a rock star."

We were making dessert and Amelia inquired what are we having for dessert.  I said "cheese cake."  She commented "You can't make cheese cake, the cheese would melt."

Rex would only look at the passing ferry. Fun day in Seattle we ate the best curry at my favorite place to eat, Dri's.  Yum and fun.  

The girls were pretending to be "wicked witches" and start everyone on fire.  When Dri got out her magic wand and made a barrier.  Chloe was so mad that she couldn't "bam fire"  Dri. (The bam part was accompanied by a tap with a rolled up place mat, I mean magic wand.)

January 8, 2012 Ski, zoo, library

 Thanks to Jamie; Mike, Jessie and I went skiing.  Well, I snowboarded but I was there too.

 At the zoo Chloe and Rex were checking to see if the slides were wet.  They get up to the top and Chloe calls down "Yup, their wet."  Then Rex just goes.  There was enough water to really get him going at the bottom he splashed through the puddle, it was like splash mountain, and kept going.  He landed on his bum and looked a little dazed.
