May 24, 2013 Widbey Island

 Crab

Rex loved the crabs.  He was touching them and saying this like "that little guy's teasing me!" as the crabs would flea from our presence. Rex would poke them and declare "poke!" every time.
crab.  Another boy came to Rex and said look at my crab!  Rex replied with a super high, exaggerated, and drawn-out "WhAAAAAAAT?

Ruth came down for Sunday dinner.

It was a fun day down at Chambers park.

Chloe and Jumbo at the Kayak guys house.

Whidbey Island:
Hiking to the top of the island.  This is Rex doing his moon jumps.  It is the way Mike motivates the kids to keep going.

 The top...with the power poles

 The real top.

 Impromptu swim voyage
This week I asked Chloe if her bum was hanging out?  She replied matter-of-factly "Yeah, it likes to do that."

Lindsey found seaweed that looked like duck feet.  It was squishy.

Those pants on Chloe are 2T Rex pants that were laying about in the car.  It was so fun.

After our day at Widbey we were all tired and hungry.  We stopped at a drive-through and Mike exaggerated "I am so hungry, if that girl doesn't hurry I am going to hop in there and eat her face off!"  Well, Chloe picked up on that and inquired, "why will you eat her face?"  Mike explained what exaggeration is,  Chloe picked right up on it and said, "Well, I am so thirsty! I am going to hop in there and drink her blood."  Sick but a good exaggeration.

Chloe also liked the jello they had on the window of the drive through (the little plastic window clings).

The other day in time out Chloe wailed "I think I'm banished!"  Drama Queen!
Chloe LOVES cheese cake.  She requested I snap a picture of her enjoying. Our friend Jason makes the MOST amazing cheese cake.  Seriously. No joke.  For real-sies.

Chloe's Dance classes:
The proper way to dance with castanets

Rex fit his dog (that has been re-christened as Jumbo, like the kayak guys dog) into the bus with some of his favorite cars.

Point Defiance Zoo:

This tiger cub is about 9 months old.  He was so playful and reached up to grab the rope.  He was also stalking all the children.

One morning Lindsey was getting ready.  She was blow drying her hair and Rex walked in.  Lindsey just finished and asked "How does my hair look?"
"Dry," Rex responded.

Pacific Science Center:

How many kids can you fit in a dinosaur foot print?

Rex was cold on our walk.  Lindsey offered her jacket, but Rex wouldn't take it.  Linsey's jacket was clearly sub-par.

Rex hurt his eye Chloe sang him a song that went something like: Oh Rexy, your poor eye but you don't have to cry you should just say it hurts.
