November 5, 2017 Halloween, Poland, best brother ever.

That smile.  He found my old pound puppies and was loving them.

The other kids found Mikes old toys.

And they are loving them.

Frozen chicken nuggets, why?

Family Home evening treat.

Dirt and bugs.

Halloween.  Two mummies and a pirate.

We started preschool.

Yes, the first day Ike didn't have pants.

Freiberg temple.

The kids found horses while I was at the temple.

Azalea and Rhododendron Park Kromlau

Also known as Devils Bridge it makes a perfect circle in the reflection of the water.

The kids tuckered out.

Why my glasses are always dirty.

Ike potty training is the best.

Reflection in the elevator.

Wieliczka Salt Mine in Krakow Poland.

They carve all this stuff out of salt. This is the legend of this princess throwing her engagement ring down the mine to get people to go looking for salt.  They are presenting her with salt and her ring.  From this mine brought Poland prosperity for a long time.

These carvings are in salt.  Which is hard for me to think of, but it is as hard as rock. This was my favorite carving, and fav picture of Ike blocking the light.

Odd gnome portion of the mine.

As the workers worked it was a super dangerous job so after they excavated they would make chapels to pray in.

The chandeliers are made with salt crystals.

The wood in the mine has just stayed there.   A lot of it is pine and has held up because the salt water gets into the wood and petrifies and preserves everything.  The wood has been down there hundreds of years. The mines started in the 13th century.

The salt and ring cutout with our family.

Sleeping in tight corners.  Let me use your bum as a pillow.

Let me use your head as a stand for my legs.

 Ice cream.

The view from our place.

Chloe did Rex's hair.

Fire breathing dragon statue.

It was pretty cold and windy.

Then it started to rain.

Then it started to hail.

 Then it cleared up.

But was still cold.

But beautiful.

Cool door.

We saw one of mikes camps.
Dad can I touch one of the tanks? -Rex

Dinner.

Was
 Good.

Ike got my phone.

Our hotel in Zagan.

The horses nipped at Chloe and ike.

Down town Zagan.

They have a museum that is the sight of the actual great escape.

Steve McQueen eat your heart out.

I told the kids Ike was going to fall off the back, so they acted it out.

The bear.

The kids love this statue and now when company comes over they make us tell the story of the bear that was bribed with beer to carry ammo in WW1.  He got a rank and was retired after the war to a zoo.

These two.

I bribed them with toys so they could play in stead of fighting.  So they fought with toys.

We wrote letters to family.  To oaker how is school going?  How are your friends.  Love Rex.

These three are pretty great.  It was a crazy trip where the kids woke up at 5 every day, because of the time change.  I'm tired.

after we got home, tonight Ike and I were out late.  Rex was going to bed, He complained to Mike it is hard to go to bed without Ike.  Mike replied, "Rex you can go to bed without Ike screaming."
Rex answered back, "yeah, but, after he goes to sleep I make sure his blanket is covering him, give him a kiss and tell him he is the best brother ever."
