Athens February 2022

Rex drawing

Ike drawing while waiting for dinner.

The Math Restaurant just outside of the city.

Poseidon Temple.  We heard it had the best sunsets on the island, it didn't dissapoint.

Rex said he wanted to see a beautiful sunset on our trip.  NAILED IT!

Getting here was a little miracle.  We drove down and made it right on time to see the sunset.  We were able to find parking when we got back to the city.  It was miraculous.

Ike had to use the bathroom and there was no where to stop so...He got creative and didn't spill so that was awesome and feels like a milestone.

Athens, I had no idea they had wild tortoises.

Hadrians library
Trash cats.  They are everywhere.  The kids found 55 on our few days in Athens.

Rex called the mosaics the original pearler beads.

Stoa of Attalos

Hephaestus temple.  The kids knew all about his hammer and made us pose.

Trip pictures are hard.

It was so hot.  We are walking around wishing we had shorts and the locals were in down coats.

Parthenon at night.
We fed the kids and then went out on our own and got dinner.

Found a bunch of poisonus cate

Herodes Atticus Theater

My kids have become wonderful at pictures.  I might have to take them more places.

Parthenon

Herodes Atticus Theater again.

Ok, so here is the problem with Athens.  Everything is old and looks like a dumb rock.  So my kids touch it and get yelled at because it looks like an old dumb rock....So there is that.

So bright.  The Chloe and Rex loved seeing all the stuff that belongs to Greek mythology.
Ike could not have cared less.

My favorite Ike picture.

He got in trouble for being too close.

I mean I have been on narrow streets, but this one...I closed my eyes and we hit a mirror.

The kids hiding in my shade waiting for our rental car.

Ike would not get off the ground.
