Hand made rugs. They took us to this back alley to where rugs are made. It was so sketchy. Jodi bought a rug so we could keep our kidneys. They asked if we were sisters, you know, all white people look the same.
Barbary Macaques Mike and Aaron saw on their way back to the airport.
Mike sent a picture of his airplane ticket to head home. Jodi and I got the same treasure when it was our turn to fly home.
Ait Benhadou Kasbah is a UNESCO site.
So we drove a lot. I grabbed snacks, and shared. So some of the snacks I brought were not ok. I maybe brought pork sausage to share. Luckily, our guide was secular, and was kind of excited.
Latifa was an amazing human that managed our hotel.
Hassan II Mosque
Completed in 1993, it was partially built into the Atlantic and possesses the world’s tallest minaret (210m) and can hold up to 25,000 worshippers inside the mosque hall. It’s also the tallest structure in Morocco. Part of the mosque floor is glass, allowing worshippers to kneel and pray directly over the sea. Minarets are vantage points from which the resonating calls to prayer are made five times a day. When night falls, lasers shine a hopeful beam from the minaret toward Mecca. This beam ensures that everyone knows the direction of Islam’s holiest city and the direct path to God
We chose our lunch from that slab of meat behind us. We did not eat the food served. Lets say they wouldn't pass the food service test.
This guy we met on the street and posed Jodi and I until I was like No we are done. No, we were really done. Most awkward photos ever.
Kheterra
Ancient underground system of irrigation, the water has dried up but it was cool to go see the tunnels used to irrigate.
Volubilus

Pottery making.
Mustafa our guide for our trip.
Fez
The tannery. It stunk but they dye all the leather by hand. They also use pigeon poop for the ammonia. Crazy.
First Mellah built in Fez
Idriss mausoleum and the famous Al Karaouine University which is the oldest in the region.
Michelle my cousins has been living in Morocco for the last two years. Michelle and her friend Emily came to visit us for the day. It was so beautiful to see them.
The allies here are crazy and small. They have thousands in the medina.
I guess they filmed a movie here I think it was a mission impossible movie filmed here.
