Belgium with the Peeps!

In April Jill's Mom and Natie-O came to visit us.
We got to show Natie-O around Europe for her Senior trip

...And give her lots of advice on recycling.

Ike took advantage of Natie-O playing Trash.

Then Ike continued to eat a lot of pretzels.
Typical

If have family visit isn't fun enough,
at the same time we had great friends visit too
Picking up Gwenever and James in Bingen

Of course we had to stop at the gummy bear outlet.

Jill took the kids on a paddle boat ride while waiting for us in Belgium.

There is an artist that makes these fantastic Tolls out of reclaimed wood.
We first found them in Denmark, outside of Copenhagen. He completed a project in Belgium and seeing them was super high on our bucket list. We tried visiting last August, but the whole park was closed for August.
Why, because it's Europe.

Now our diligence payed off.

Rex, super jazzed to be here.

This was my favorite of the giants.

There were seven tolls and we had to wonder through the woods to find a few of them.
It was super fun.

Lier
We found a great hostel in Lier and used it as our homebase for two night.
The town was great for wondering in the evening and mornings.

Don't let my kids fool you.  It was way too cold for a short sleeve shirt.

Ditto.

Cool clock

Then we Spend a day in Bruges

Belgium waffles!

"What do we do with all these flags from the waffles we ate?"

You really can't take a bad photo in Bruges

Of course the kids found a chicken to love

This one's for tick-tock

Natie-O's new boyfriend.

When you're only 30 minutes from the ocean, you have to stop by and see it.

The fun car!

Ike found a new home

Rex, showing off his ambition...with success

On the way home we stopped at this outdoor marble run.
You paid 1 Euro for a wooden ball and let gravity do the rest.

Some parts needed human power to keep progressing.

Keep going Chloe.

Stop blocking the path.

Then we had to see the suspension bridge.  Right!?!

Creepy photo bomber.
Jill! James and I are trying to take a photo.

Nanna, Please. I haven't seen James in 7 years.

Wind blown beauty.

Don't rock the bridge

Ike's new job

You know it's been a good trip when all the kids are still alive and willing to be around each other.
