April 5, 2018 Northern Italy

 Easter on the road.

Ike brought me flowers.

Cinque terre

It is gorgeous.

The streets and cities nestled into the hills.

On the ocean.

Cool churches

 Ike making funny faces

Rex pretending like he is falling in.

Rex pretending to do his arms with the waves.

Not quite.

Nailed it.

Missed it
cool dude

Nailed it again.

I love this view.

There was an awesome park on the top of the hill.

Chilling.

Ike done.

There was a gluten dairy free shop.  Ike was in heaven.

 Aggressive ice cream eating.

We missed 2 full trains and decided to stay for dinner and nice lighting so we got more pictures...just in case you haven't seen enough.

We could not get a good family picture.

I want sunny ice cream.  Did I let like get ice cream twice in one day because he can never get ice cream?  Yes I did.

Our kids are experts at being on the move.

Nedra had a cool kid competition and took some silly fun pictures.

Pisa

 Pisa

the baptistery.

We all did our part at holding up the bell tower at Pisa.

fun and games.

Milan

Duomo

They had lots of scripture stories carved out.  One of the lions is giving Daniel a lick on his back.

That guy has a sword he gets all the bad guys. -ike

These are all the rules.  There are only two things you can do and that is watch your kids and get their crap out of the way.

 Inside Duomo.

Rex dancing to the organ.  Check out those floors with the inlaid stonework.

Enjoying the art.

Ike has a lot to say here.

Chloe lighting a candle for Schuyler

David and Goliath. Graphically carved.  Seriously doesn't get better than this.

Rooftop

All the lines.  Gothic architecture at its finest.

We found a statue doing the chicken dance.

 Macarena statue

 Lake Como

This lake made me miss the PNW with the kids throwing in rocks and chilling.

Grandpa telling Ike a story about a dragon in a cave.
Also driving home Nedra was putting on some essential oils.  Ike didn't appreciate the smell.  He loudly exclaims, "ewwwwwww.  What is that smell.  I smells gross."
Nedra chimed in that is was good.
Ike retorted "No that is gross, that is disgusting."  Nedra was a good sport I think mostly due to the number of syllables used.
