GUEST BLOGGER; Mike Johnson

While Jill is in out of town with the kids I have taken it upon myself to update the blog and give everyone a small fix while we wait patiently for Jill's next update.

Last week I was in Guam.  It was beautiful, tropic island, sandy beaches, crystal clear water, and fish everywhere (at least in the water).

Getting to Guam was a real trek; 14 hours in two airplanes and a 3 hour layover in Tokyo.  This was my third weekend in a row in that I spend in the Tokyo airport.  They had these cool sitting areas, I knew Dri would love them.  Very modern.

I spent the majority of my time working, I guess that's why I was out there, but we did manage to see the entire island a few times. Guam is only 30 miles by 6 miles. What would you do on an island that small?

My hotel was right on the water, literary, there were stairs that went right into the water.  So I went snorkeling almost every evening and saw plenty of fish.  One evening I was determined to take some photos of the fish.  I went to my room and wrapped the camera in a ziplock bag.  That didn't work so then I tried a bread bag; that didn't work either.  I guess it's better to just talk about the cool fish then to break the camera.

Saturday I made it to Fish Eye Marine Park and snorkeled there.  The middle of the tower area is 35-40 feet deep.  You could easily see the bottom from the surface.  There were fish everywhere and next time I'm bringing a underwater camera.

I drew a little something in the sand so the kids would know I'm thinking about them.
I've had a lot of traveling during the last few months and I've missed Jill and the kids.  I'm excited for the next few months where my travel load will be light and I get to spend more time at home.

September 2, 2012 Guy on a buffalo

Rex with his hurt toe, but he was a trooper.  We kept a band aid on it for the last few days.  It all but fell off the rest of the way yesterday so his new nail is doing it's job.

Knock knock.  who's there? Daddy. Daddy who? Daddy Johnson! (Joke by Rex)

As we were picking Mike up from the airport Rex kept screaming:
I see him I see him.  The kids are thrilled to have Mike home again.

This week James showed us this fine film off You Tube and we watched all 4 episodes, I am not sure why they are so funny, but they are.  Feel free to enjoy.

August 26, 2012 Planet Unicorn

 Rex playing at the park

Rex was dying to dress up as Snow White.  It was so funny.  Rex and Chloe pretended they were sisters.  Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.

I got a little orginization done at my house this week too.  I cut out the superfluous brace from the wall and it makes so much more room!

This week we went to good will and found the most hideous unicorn costume.  Chloe was in dyer need and I was in a weak condition...
Yup Worse than you thought!
When we got home and she put it on she said "This is my pony and when bad things come she will stab it with her mighty horn. She is a spiny pony and she kind-of speaks horse."
Rex taking her for a spin.

 Coolest library.

The Duvall library opening was well attend and long winded.

Lolo made the kids swords

Many fine battles ensued

There was good art.  It was an awesome day. Good work Aunt Dri!

I gave Chloe some orange juice that was a little tart and she explained "This juice is full of ugliness."
Coming from the girl who doesn't like the sun Chloe commented, "I wish we had a car with no top so we could drive around in the sun."

Chloe loved playing in Aunt Dri's bed.  Dri took pity on me and gave me an afternoon off while she took the kids.  MANY THANKS!

Saturday was overcast and Chloe woke up and said "at least it isn't sunny today." I pushed " you don't like the sun?"  Chloe replied "no, it's too bright in my eyes."  We are officially north-westerners.

We got to go to Dri's on Saturday and finish the grage cleaning of 2012.  Isn't it beautiful. I had cleaning high and didn't want to go home.

Here are all the video's that I found from Dri:
