San Antonio March 5, 2013

Our trip started out like this... I think it may have something to do with us leaving at 4:30 am

Warning: this only happens in Texas.  They have a safari that you can drive through and feed the animals.

Umm this ostrich stuck it's head in the car and took Chloe's bag of food

It tried to do it to this guy too, it stuck his head in his window and it was overly aggressive

We put the seats down in the explorer and drove through the safari.

Petting zoo portion:

 Then back to the safari:

It was cute because Chloe was the first to spot the baby Imus's

This was the crazy Romney supporter that had a cone lodged so well on their car it didn't come off on the freeway

 Lila

Rex though he was so funny.
 envy

 Chloe did too

 So she joined in.

Children's Museum in San Antonio:

 Vacuum tubes

The vacuum tubes go to a main area and dump the balls like this.

 Shopping

 Big bubble

 Boat ride

On our way to the Japanese gardens we rode the train

And we ran into Elspeth and her family.

At the gardens

 The koi were huge!

I put beans on my face to bug my mom.  It's funny!
-Lila

Melinda made an adorable Hello Kitty cake for Chloe
San Antonio Symphony put on a show featuring Bahms.  It was perfect for the kids, they would explain and even play parts to give them background and then play the pieces.
 The kids were so good

The gym:

 Foam pit consumed Cassidy

Loooooong trampoline.  It was fun the kids could use the equipment they desired.

Chillin' at the Horners

One of these things is not like the other one's

These are the amazing lemon cupcakes Aubrey crafted...and yes they taste better than they look.

The ride home was relaxed, we wish Mike could have made the same flight.

  1. You guys are always doing such fun things!! I think that is so fun you went to a drive through Safari! We just barely attended an Ostrich farm for our preschool field trip and they are SO mean! I can't believe people even dare roll their windows down near them! I loved the driver on the freeway with the cone under the car. Hilarious.

    1. No, it was my kind of boat, it was stationary in the children's museum, but if anyone could get sick on a stationary boat it would be me.
