May 15, 2016 Mike is home, Berg Eltz, and Ehrenburg

Uh-oh.  Ike kept chanting when he threw up in the tub. He was saying uh-oh because he dropped is toy, not because he gave himself the heimlich trying to get his toy.

Ike loves to blow dandelions.

MIKE CAME HOME!

New rug.

Everyone enjoying the new rug.

We went for a hike that had a ton of cool sculptures.  The kids loved these ones shaped like teeth.

We found a big bug.

There a sculptures just hanging out on this path.

Ehrenburg.  We went to this castle on our way to Berg Eltz.  We had to take a detour and this was a good stop.

The kids love exploring all the old castles.

Cool structures.

Amazing views.

We were so glad Joanna could come visit.  She is the best.

Chloe being serious queen.

Rex trying to be serious king.

poser.

Barrels as big as Joanna.

Berg Eltz.

They had a treasury the kids just loved.

Rex was super envious of the little kit that had a gun (that had individual round bullets that spoke to rex) and a knife and weapons.  Rex was ogling a crossbow and said I want that one.  Some passerby said that's the spirit.

Shell golden swan.

Jewels

keys

OH, the treasures!

Berg Eltz

Berg Eltz was cool because it wasn't destroyed and rebuilt in the war.  It is amazing because the soul decedent that is 33 generations down still comes and stays in part of the castle.  Part the people who take care of the grounds live in, and the last part people tour.  It was built for three families, so it works out nicely.

Ike playing.

Ike will his gal pals, Phoenix and Amelia are his crew.

Ike's other Gal pal.  We were sad to see Joanna go, but it was so fun to see her.
