May 29, 2016 Salzburg

 Poland in a kayak.

Reading nook is getting some time.

Batman on the way to school.

Ike loves it when I have to use the customer service.  He loves the kitchen.  He made a friend and had drinks with her.

Ike and Amelia when we were looking for the zoo and failed, but found a park.

 Rex in disguise.

Ike loves to shoot me.  I love that you can see him making shooting sounds.

 Hanging out with the Horners.

We are so glad to have such awesome friends so close.

 Mike Kayaking.

Poland.

Salzberg.
Anders Rex Chloe and Clair are buddies.

 Walking down town.

The kids LOVED all the fountains.

Emma and Ike like each other too.

Ike when he saw the big fountain

The big fountain in Dome Platz.

We found this cool statue that reminded me of Anders getting car sick and throwing up on our way down, then Rex is a sympathetic puker and joined in the fun.  Luckily we were close to the hotel for the clean-up.

 eis.

 Yumm.

Tennille and I joining in on the eis.

The kids went to sleep listening to Mozart and loved it.

 Castle on the hill.

The hills are alive and we went on a sound of music tour.

It was so pretty.

Ike loved the geese.

 I am 2, 6 and 8 going on 16 going on 17.

Anders and Rex played with starwars figures all day and LOVED it.

The church where the wedding happened, and a ton of BMW's from the 80's

Those hills were alive and beautiful.

Mirabell garden.

Do a deer or a Pegasus.

 Beautiful flowers.

Chloe loved the rose garden portion.

Ike hated his marshmallow suit, but looked so cute to visit the salt mines.

 love these three.

I just loved this puffy little suit.

 Salty guy.

Ike finally fell asleep.  He was so grumpy. Five is the perfect time for a nap right?

Rex plugged his nose the whole time because he didn't like the smell in the mine.  I love the look on Chloe's face.  It was so fun the loved the slides in the caves.  We got to go on two the second one they loved because they knew not to be scared.  We got to ride a train in, and ride a boat with an impressive light show.  The boat ride went across a salt lake they make to harvest the salt.  They pump up the salt from the bottom because it sinks.
After the salt mines we went for dinner in the little town down from the mine, and we had to be fast to make our bus.  We almost missed our bus in the afternoon because we took too long with lunch.  So we go to a cafe and the kids wanted schnitzel like it talks about in the song my favorite things, but they didn't have it on the menu and we had to be fast.  Clair was miffed about it and her mom got miffed and informed her the trip wasn't about the food but making it where we need to be on time, so we don't miss out.  Well a bit later while waitng for our food out of the blue chloe pipes up in a gravely voice "this trip isn't about the food, it is about getting to the bus on time!" We were laughing so hard.  I am glad Tennille had such a good sense of humor, we did have fun but we are all tired.

The drive home Ike with a nutella beard.  We may have resorted to giving it to him on a spoon, no joke.

The hills were a alive and I may look this chipper tomorrow after I get some rest; but I am so glad that Mike sees me like this and gave me this little present to laugh at after a fun, hard, no sleep trip.
